All over the globe abuse is happening and it is despicable
Many of the victims don’t realize they are capable
To leave and get out of the mess that is being forced upon them
Lots of confidence stripped away preventing the ability of exiting to stem

Many are fooled into believing they can’t survive otherwise
That they don’t have the characteristics to be on their own and thrive
Mind games getting played or even physical restraints
It is all a disgusting plot of ridiculous pains

Something that would be nice to see end
As it is plaguing every nation to some extent
Such a shame that it continues to persist
Considering it is something that shouldn’t exist

It’s alarming to think that someone has a motivation to do such things
Treating another human being with such disregard of decency
I know there are masses of individuals out there pleading
Hoping that they can be delivered away from the beating

Psychological and physical torment is not meant to occur
Meanwhile for some they think it is normal behavior
Sadly it is all that they’ve experienced for far too long
And perhaps don’t even know that what has been done is wrong
