That the ones acting oddly were never true allies
They were easily persuaded to act jaded
Speaking poorly behind your back before the friendship even faded

Listening to lies and propaganda from other individuals
Instituting feelings that appear to lack any decent principles
Morals never seemed to be their strong suit
As they always catered to whatever benefitted their own pursuit

Why they decided not to approach every angle to fully learn
Is something that simply shouldn’t be of your concern
It was their choice to ruin something without the full scope
Maybe one day they’ll improve, we can only hope

Life is far better without those people in it
No more fake interactions that felt legitimate
They can no longer sap away your energy
