Ability

There are those out there physically disabled
Looking different than most, but still mentally capable
Then there are those that look “normal”
But in their head functionality is minimal

The fact of the matter is some lack certain abilities
Each individual still lives within humanity
Special care and treatment are often utilized
But far too often assumptions are made that need to be despised

Discrimination and mistreatment run rampant
It’s a shame to see those who are in need
Get turned away as if their life is absent
It seems there are no limitations for terrible deeds

Wrongful judgments and abuse worldwide
Violence spreading further and further
Horrific acts crossing all borderlines
When will we all act to end this and quit being lurkers

Dimension

It’s hard to live out the future
When you’re stuck in the past
Hoping to elude the torture
You hold onto the goodness, hoping it lasts

All the memories you recollect
Reminiscing about love and joy
Smiling ear to ear as you reflect
Wishing one day those times could redeploy

Each day brings a challenge
Some we least expect
Our temperament remains unbalanced
When our mind drifts from the present

Fixate on the importance of today
Be the change you wish to see
Lock into a goal without delay
So you can once again become happy

Focus

All the content created
You wonder which is worthwhile
As many sit idle, as if they were sedated
Is it good to consume, is it really our style

Nothing wrong with creativity
Exploration to new ends
Just don’t lose touch of reality
By being caught in a world of pretend

We see so often these days
People glued to technology
Losing sight of their pathway
Distracted by this new sociology

Remember to focus on humanity
So that our unique nature doesn’t cease
We want to improve to end the calamity
Which is difficult to do if our attention doesn’t increase

Intertwined

I spy love
I spy hate
I spy a world that could be great

I see pain
I see change
I see a culture that should be rearranged

I feel angst
I feel stress
I feel this world’s emotions all in a mess

I hear cries
I hear expression
I hear a multitude that deserves some attention

I want unity
I want peace
I want an Earth where morality can increase

Connection

Thinking about this lady
She’s driving me crazy
But in a good way
On my mind all day
Even through yesterday
And probably the next days
The sight of her is on replay
Highlights in my mind
The way her smile shines
Gracious each and every time
I’m shocked and stunned
Never did I imagine this run
I thought these days were over
What is going on here
I’m left clueless
This is all most likely useless
For whatever reason
I’m in a youthful season
Drawn to her, I don’t know why
Time to shut it down though… goodbye

Walk

I’m held in place by God’s grace
With Him I’ll never deteriorate
Through Christ my sins are forgiven
Sanctified by Him from the beginnin’

I walk forward in this life to end strife
Provide some comfort and insight
I don’t have all the answers, I too ask questions
Regardless though I’ve learned a lot from my experiences

Looking out into the lives of the masses
It is easy to learn, no need for any classes
Situations are dire and many are in need
Plenty caught in addictions at crazy speeds

I’ve never claimed to be better
If anything I’ve admitted I’m a sinner
That’s why I need forgiveness from the creator
And with His help, I’m constantly working to improve my character

We all need aid, which is why we seek love
We’re not supposed to be alone in the battle
Consider what it is you’re a part of
Because with this one life it’s easy to get rattled

Provide yourself a little hope, whatever your background is
Today could be the worst, but tomorrow could be bliss
Never give up working toward your goals and dreams
The illusions of failure are not what they seem

Origin

When you view your significant other what do you see
Do you fall back to the first time you met respectfully
Or perhaps focus on the current time that you’re living

Will there be more chapters to this story
Will the love continue to grow successfully
Are you doing your part to prolong the journey

Ask yourself if you told them how much you care
Each and every day they deserve to be treated fair
Hold them tightly even when there may be despair

Whether you’re looking back or looking ahead
The love that once was should still be spread
If it has grown that is great, but if you feel it’s fading prevent its death

Invest in the good memories that you shared
Back when you were gitty at every situation, perhaps a little scared
Get back to the roots that got you initially paired

Times change as do each of us
Life together though should be a plus
Give them a reason to trust

Express your love
Let them know when push comes to shove
That you’re theirs and they are yours, even when times are tough

Expectation

How much is ever enough
It seems we’re expected to do so much
Whether it is your family or friends
There is always a want in the end

We wake up and go to school
It is necessary for our intelligence to grow
We’ve been taught not to be fools
Yet get drowned by the ridiculousness that overflows

The media propaganda and imagery seen
Tries to illuminate something with no true meaning
Emphasizing the desire to want what we don’t have
To split our important priorities in halves

When we go to work expectations are high
Each person within their own role, simply defined
But often times there are those that want to take advantage of the kind
Throwing some of their workload onto someone who can be too nice

We go about our daily lives striving for more
Not really encompassing what could be in store
We just know we constantly crave something new
Why can’t what we already have ever do

Our design is intricate, our mind a mystery
Certain emotions unique to our species
Explanation and determination, two different playgrounds
But looking within quantity and quality both can be found

Explain yourself to yourself to evaluate your health
Be determined to improve so it can reverberate to others around you
Don’t be afraid to put a blip on the radar, no need for stealth
Live for the purpose you were meant for, not for the portrait other people drew

Standby

A moment in time that passes us by
We still sit in silence with wonders of why
Can we ever grasp the moment, will we even try
Or will we watch it evaporate up into the sky
Remnants of the past creep in our head, so sly
When the future is the issue that makes us sigh
Enough of the pathway that makes us shy
Provide a little insight so others don’t cry
There’s a fine line each time we reply
With expression not always translating correctly from our minds eye
Our compassion needs to apply
Since this world has focused more on what it can buy
The emotions that make us unique are what need to fly
So the morality that is left doesn’t completely die
When we continue to look out and spy
The madness that is seen isn’t short on supply
Which is why change is needed, so all of us don’t fry

Forgive

A tricky utility that many are missing
The days we embrace ourselves selfishly
There are those out there that hurt us
But aren’t we guilty all the same if we’re honest

I bet many of you, if asked
Who is it that angers you the most
See a face that is clear as day without a second passed
The problem is your face likely also makes someone else roast

Nobody’s perfect we all make mistakes
We each have our own individuality
Standards are different and the decisions we make
Experiences over the course of one’s life provide differing mentalities

Regardless, that grudge you may have
The angst you carry around that stresses you
Isn’t worth your time nor effort to alter your life’s plan
Stand up and do the unexpected, forgive what others do

If you can’t claim perfection, I bet you’ve also wronged
The time to treat others as you want to be treated is here
Perhaps you would like forgiveness from someone, so the relationship can go on
Start by forgiving yourself, so you can show that your change is clear

Nevermind the way others think
Forgiveness is a powerful tool
Don’t allow the baggage to make you sink
Provide some joy and good will to prevent all that is cruel
