There are many out there feeling caged
Locked up with the chaos continuing to age
Situations getting worse making many become enraged
Will the beginning of this next year be enough to turn the page

The foundations of the lives around us are being shaken
As they continue to put their hope in the wrong things being mistaken
Tons of lies out there of people claiming that their awakened
When the nonsense they spew just leaves their audience forsaken

Will we ever see a world that can be defined as serene
Will there ever again be a sense of normalcy once we get a vaccine
How does this all turn out as there is bound to me more issues we haven’t seen
How can we prevent something like this recurring creating another problematic scene

Time won’t stop and it seems there is plenty of evil that remains
Can we trust that the right steps will be taken or will greed claim the gains
A plethora of tragedies continue to arise creating many pains
Yet the refusal to the appropriate answer for peace remains

Too many seem to be invested in the materials they can see
Rather than the effects of memories leaving behind a legacy
The purpose of life isn’t to be solely focused on money
A personality can’t be bought nor can any currency truly fulfill your journey
