No matter where you draw the line in the sand
There will always be someone who crosses it
Whatever sort of baggage they bring in hand
You have to do your best to toss it

Toxicity is never worth your sanity
The stress induced isn’t worth your time
Regardless of what that person may have been previously
Keeping them around just to bring you down is a crime

Boundaries exist for a reason so don’t falter
Stand firm in your right to protect your peace
Don’t give any form of power to the assaulter
They need to learn that awful behavior should cease

However it is you choose to proceed is ultimately up to you
There’s a time and place for second chances
But those that take advantage of your kindness should be through
There’s no need to extend the issues because then the problem only advances
